Region 1, region 2
About the Mission:
Quoting from the representative of US Congressman Brian Higgins:
"Congressman Higgins will be honoring Joseph Ubanczyk who was killed in action by enemy forces [in Vietnam] on March 13th 1969. At the time his mother refused the Purple Heart so the family never received that or other medals. Congressman Higgins will be presenting the Purple Heart, Bronze Star with oak leaf cluster and letter V device and several other medals to the family."
"Congressman Higgins will be honoring Florian J. Fenclau who was injured by the enemy when his plane was shot down in 1943. He also became a POW. His family never received his medals which include the Purple Heart, Distinguished Service Medal, and POW Medal. The third veteran being honored and the only one of the three still living is John Jenkins who who never received his Purple Heart for the injuries he received by the enemy while serving during the Vietnam War. John is friends with Gwen Hawkins-Rutledge who is also a Patriot Guard Rider. We would love to have Patriot Guard Riders there to help honor these soldiers who gave so much for our country."
