About the Mission:

Officials from the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station have invited Patriot Guard Riders to participate in this Special Anniversary Event. We interact frequently with members of the Air Force Honor Guard during Military Honor Missions. This is an opportunity to celebrate with them.

Quoting from the Requester: Concert by the Heritage of America Band (USAF Band from Langley AFB, VA.) Celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Air Force Reserve. Also a Salute to the entire Western New York military community both past and present. Guests to include veterans, military retirees, Guard and Reserve members, and local community military advocates. FREE EVENT Would like to include Patriot Guard Riders in the opening ceremony just prior to the presentation of colors and the playing of the National Anthem.

UPDATE - The Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Main Gate is closed due to ongoing construction.
To access the Tuscarora Gate, please turn south from Lockport Road onto TUSCARORA Road.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Quoting from the Requester:
The opening ceremony for our event would begin at about 5:00pm. Our desire is to conclude the opening ceremony in the following manner at 5:25pm.
1. Presentation of Colors – Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station Honor Guard
2. National Anthem – Heritage of America Band
3. Patriot Guard Ride By – PGRNY
4. KC-135 Fly Over

Logistically our plan for PGRNY would be as follows:

1. PGRNY arrive (4pm-5pm)
2. PGRNY proceed to staging lot which is just a short distance from event location on base (4pm-5pm)
3. Food & Beverage for all the riders (Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Italian Sausage, water, and soda) will be available at the staging area (4pm-5:15pm)
4. Start Bikes and proceed toward event venue (5:15pm)
5. Stop just short of event venue and await signal from staff to proceed with drive by (5:25pm)
6. Drive past event venue immediately following the National anthem (5:25pm)
7. Park bikes and return to venue and Enjoy The Show (5:30pm – 7:00pm)

Please consider participating in this Special Event to ensure there is great PGR presence. LARGE FLAGS on your bikes will be appreciated!!!
