About the Mission:

Blue Star Mothers, NY 8 has asked Patriot Guard Riders NY to participate in honoring Gold Star Families at their annual ceremony.

"On the last Sunday in September, Gold Star Mother’s and Family Day honors the mothers, fathers, and families of fallen military service members. Also known as National Gold Star Mother’s Day, the day serves as a reminder of the losses suffered by military families."

Special Information:

1:00pm: Stage in the parking lot at All Seasons Chapel. We will park in the back of the lot, or along some of the roadways to leave room for the Gold Star Families.
1:15pm: Form a flag line flanking the sidewalk which leads to the chapel in anticipation of Gold tar Families arriving.
2:00pm: Enter the chapel, standing across the rear to participate in the ceremonies as appropriate. If there is no room for us in the chapel we will continue the flag line outside during ceremonies.

After the ceremonies: Hold the flag line until the Gold Star Families have departed and then dismiss.
I expect we will dismiss by 3:00pm.

Please come prepared with a clean US Flag. Dress for the weather, current forecast is for sunshine and 80F temperatures. Please bring you own water.
