About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam War Era Veteran William W. "Bill" Eve has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life, military service and service to his community. Mr. Eve passed away tragically as a result of a bicycle accident in Lakeville on 15 June 2024 at the age of 79.
Mr. Eve served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1964-1967, with an Army MOS of 71H20-Personnel Specialist. He had 13 months of foreign duty in Korea, and his final duty assignment was with Headquarters, US Army First Recruiting District at Fort George G. Meade in Maryland. Mr. Eve was honorably discharged from active duty on 14 September 1967 with the rank of Specialist Five (E-5), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal and M-14 Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.
Mr. Eve was a very active and beloved member of the Livonia community, and he was a Lifetime Member of the Livonia Fire & EMS Department.

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of family and guests. The memorial service and military honors is scheduled for 12:00 PM. There is no escort involved in this mission, and the current weather forecast for Saturday is mid-80s and 50% chance of rain. Please ensure you bring water with you.
