About the Mission:
The family of William “Bill” R. Woods has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors Funeral services. Bill, 76, passed away on Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the House of John in Clifton Springs, NY.
Born in Ravenna, OH, Bill proudly served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War Era. He enlisted in the United States Navy on 25 March 1964, and was honorably discharged on 24 October 1968. Total service years of 4 years and 7 months. He obtained the rank of Petty Officer Second Class (E-5). He proudly served on the USS Wilkinson (DL-5), a Mitscher Class Destroyer as a Sonar Technician, Surface, based out of Newport Naval Station, Newport RI.
He served three years Reserve Duty: 1964-1967. He was called to Active Duty on 10 April 1967. He served one year seven months active duty: 1967-1968.
He earned the National Defense Service Medal.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Family is expected at approximately 2:45pm. Calling hours are 3-5pm with Military Honors at 5pm. Water will be provided by the Funeral Home. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 US or US Navy Flag.
