About the Mission:
Bill Clark served from December 13, 1966 until September 28, 1968. He was designated a Specialist in M-14 rifles and M-16 A1 rifles.He was assigned to the 86th Maintenance Battalion GS as a Senior Ordnance Repairman for the 160th Heavy Equipment Maintenance Company in Qui Nhon, Vietnam. Sergeant Clark's commendations included: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Certificate of Achievement for Meritorious Service for the period of October 2,1967 to September 9,1968. Upon his return, he declared he would never sleep again in a tent, on a rock pile or under a truck.
After his military service, he had been employed by Lehigh Hanson Aggregates, Inc. and Halpin’s and Sons.
