Thomas Howard Nablo, Sr.

About the Mission:

The family of Thomas Howard Nablo, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Nablo, Sr. passed away on 8 June 2023.

Following reserve duty, Mr. Nablo served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Navy from 1966-1968, with a Naval Rating of Electrician's Mate (EM.) Virtually all of his active duty was stationed aboard the USS Hawkins (DD-873), a Gearing-class destroyer. Mr. Nablo was honorably discharged from active duty on 25 March 1968 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will stand by with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family. KSU for the escort to WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 10:00 AM interment with Military Honors.

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American, POW or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
Acknowledging that this is very short notice, please do your best to help honor the US Navy service of Thomas Howard Nablo, Sr., and to support his loving family.
