About the Mission:

The family of Thomas B. Beers has requested PGR to help honor his service to America at his calling hours and services. Mr. Beers was a US Army (six months) and US Army National Guard of NY (six years) veteran. His final discharge was 7 July 1969.

In the Regular Army, Mr. Beers served as a Private (Pvt, E-2) with an MOS 310.00, Field Communications Crewman. He served in Headquarter Company, 5th Training Regiment, First US Army, Fort Dix, NJ.

In the Army National Guard, Mr. Beers attained the rank of Sergeant (Sgt, E-4) with an MOS of 36K40, Field Wireman. He served with Battery C, 1st Battalion, 209th Artillery, Rochester, NY.

Mr. Beers earned: Expert Qualification Badge - Rifle (M-1), New York Aid to Civil Authorities Medal

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line for the arrival of the family, expected at 9:30am
We will continue the flag line for arriving mourners during calling hours, 10:00am-12:00noon
Services will begin at noon at the funeral home and are expected to last approximately one-half hour.
Military honors will occur at the end of services outside of the funeral home.
PGR Members will participate in the military portion of the services.

There is no cemetery or escort involved with this mission.
Come prepared with a clean US or US Army flag.
Dress for the weather, current forecast is for temperatures in the low 70s and little chance of rain.
Please bring your own water.
Thank you for taking time to honor the service of Mr. Beers and to support his loving family.

There are many missions taking place Saturday the third. If you are able, please spend some time to honor Mr. Beers' service to us all.
