About the Mission:

The family of Theodore S. Sosnowski has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Sosnowski of Williamsville, NY passed away on 14 October 2023.

Military service information is limited due to lack of a DD-214, but we have confirmation that Mr. Sosnowski served in the US Army from 1962-1967, and he was honorably discharged from active duty on 31 October 1967 with the rank of Specialist Four (E-4.) Quoting from the Amigone Funeral Home obituary: "Ted is a veteran serving in the Army’s 8th Infantry Division in the Finance Corps. He was very proud of his US Army Good Conduct and US Army Commendation Medal [Confirmed]. Ted maintained several lifelong friends from his time in the Army. The finance skills learned in the service contributed to his future career in finance." According to the family. Mr. Sosnowski served stateside at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indiana, and he served foreign service in Germany.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and guests. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:30 AM. Following the Mass and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Joseph Cemetery, 3806 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301 for burial with Military Honors. Map to cemetery

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the US Army service of Theodore S. Sosnowski, and to support his loving family.
