About the Mission:

The family of Russell Joseph LaDelfa, US Marine Corps Vietnam Veteran, has invited Patriot Guard Riders to attend the funeral services and interment of their Marine.  Rusell, 75, passed away suddenly on November 21st, 2024.

Russell served as a communications Specialist in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, from 5 September 1968 until 4 September 1970, and was honorably discharged at the rank of Lance Corporal. He was a proud veteran, marched in many parades and wore his country’s colors with honor.

He owned his own auto body shop, worked as a janitor for the U of R, and ended his career rebuilding motors for the railroads.

Special Information:

The church service is at 11:00 am and we will stand an honorable flag line for arriving guests. We will then stand a flag line for a dignified transfer to hearse and proceed with escort to the cemetery.

I know it is the day before Thanksgiving but can think of no better way to give thanks, especially to this family.  The weather does not look promising, so dress accordingly and bring your clean 3x5 US or Marine flag. Cages please use whatever flags or signs available to identify as PGR
