About the Mission:
The family of Paul R. Garland has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service to our Nation. Mr. Garland, 94, of Hamburg, New York passed at The New York State Veterans Home on January 13, 2024.
Born in Buffalo NY, Paul attended West Seneca Senior High School. After graduation, Paul attended Chown Business School in Buffalo, and worked at the Ford Company downtown. As the Korean War broke out, he was drafted into the US Army. In the service, Paul taught Heavy Weapons Training, and when he was sent to Korea, he was assigned to Company H 5th infantry Regiment as Personnel Manager. He served our Nation from 1951 to 1953 and earned a Combat Infantry Badge, United Nations Service Medal and the Korean Service Medal.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Patriot Guard Riders members will form a flag line for arrival of funeral cortege. Make sure flags are presentable and dress for the weather.
