About the Mission:

The family of Lawrence G. Balch has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his funeral, interment, and military honors services. Mr. Balch passed on July 13, 2024 at the age of 79.

Born in West Falls, NY on December 26, 1944, Mr. Balch served our nation honorably from October 25,1966 to July 5, 1969, including a 1yr and 7 month tour of duty with the 50th Infantry Regiment in Vietnam. Mr. Balch earned Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device and 3 Overseas Service Bars.

Mr. Balch was employed as a cable splicer with Verizon for 32 years, retiring in 2002.

Special Information:

Members will form flag line for arriving family and guests. Service starts at 11am.  After a dignified transfer, members will escort our hero and family to White Chapel Memorial Park, 3210 Niagara Falls Blvd, Buffalo, NY 14228 for interment with military honors. Drink plenty of fluids and be safe.
