About the Mission:

The family of Kenneth Ward has requested PGR to participate in honoring his service to America. Mr. Ward passed away June 14, 2023 at the age of 87.

Mr. Ward was a US Army Private First Class (PFC, E-3) with an MOS of 310.00, Field Communication Crewman. The family's information is that Mr. Ward served as a Classified Courier in Germany. Mr. Ward served two years active duty 1956-1958 of which one year was foreign duty. His final duty station was with Headquarters Company, Third Battalion, Third Armored Cavalry Regiment, Fort George G. Meade, MD. Mr. Ward was honorably discharged from active duty 24 May 1958 and Honorably Discharged from Reserve Duty 30 April 1962.

Mr. Ward earned: US Army Good Conduct Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line for the arrival of the family (expected between 9:15am and 9:30am).  We will continue the flag line until Mr. Ward's services begin at 10:00am. Following the services (expected to run one hour), PGR Members will perform a dignified transfer and escort the procession to Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.

Please come prepared with a clean, 3'x5' US or US Army flag. Dress for the weather, the current forecast is for temperatures in the upper 60s and a small chance of precipitation. Please ensure your large flags are securely fastened to your vehicle for the escort.

Second Stage - Special Information:

UPDATED

Mr. Ward's gravesite is South 54. There will be a tent. A map of Holy Sepulchre Cemetery with Section South 54 highlighted is at this Dropbox Link: Click here for map on Dropbox

PGR Members will form a flag line at the gravesite for the arrival of the cortege.  We will perform a dignified transfer, and render honors with the military honor guard during services.
Following the services, PGR members will perform a final salute.
