About the Mission:

The family of US Navy veteran Joseph A. Rimbeck has requested Patriot Guard Riders to stand an honorable flagline to honor his life and service to our country. Joseph, 90, passed on February 9, 2023.

Joseph served in the US Navy between 1952 and 1956.  He was assigned to the USS Rankin (LKA-103), a Tolland-class attack cargo ship, and held a rating of Storekeeper Petty Officer 3rd Class (SK3).  For his service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Navy Occupational Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will stand an honorable silent flagline for the arrival of family and guests for a funeral mass at 10:00 am.  After the mass and a dignified transfer, PGR will go to the graveside at the adjacent cemetery for interment with military honors. Please arrive on time with an American or US Navy flag.
