About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of James F. Pachulski, who passed away on 1 July 2022.

Mr. Pachulski served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Signal Corps from 1968-1970, with an MOS of 05B20-Radio Operator. He served 11 months of foreign duty in South Vietnam and was assigned to the US Military Assistance Command-Vietnam (MAC-V), where he distinguished himself by meritorious service with the 1st Battalion, 44th infantry Regiment, 23rd Infantry Division, Army of the Republic of Vietnam.

Mr. Pachulski was honorably discharged from active duty on 17 January 1970 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4) and he earned the following awards: Combat Infantryman Badge; Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/4 Bronze Service Stars; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; Rifle Marksman Qualification Badge; and NYS Conspicuous Service Cross Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will stand a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and for the 1st half of Visitation from 4:00-6:00 PM.  The PGR plaque will be presented to the family during this period.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and bring your own water.

Please consider devoting any amount of time to help honor the US Army Vietnam War combat service of James F. Pachulski and to support his loving family.
