About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of WW II Veteran Donald W. Seefeldt, who passed away on 1 June 2023,
Military documentation has not been received as of this writing. However, the following excerpt is from the Addison Funeral Home obituary: "Formerly of N. Collins and Medina, NY, a proud WWII Normandy Veteran, passed away, June 1, 2023. During his military service, he earned the rank of corporal in the US Army, served in the 4th Infantry Division and participated in the Allied Forces D-day Invasion of Normandy. Mr. Seefeldt was awarded WWII Victory Medal, European African Middle Eastern Campaign, the Bronze Star, Army Good Conduct, Army of Occupation, Jubilee of Liberty, NY Conspicuous Service, Combat Inf. Badge and the French Legion Medal of Honor. Don was a charter member of the Eden VFW Post 8265, a Lifetime member of Newell – Faulkner American Legion Post 880."

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag for arrival of the family and friends. There is a short calling hours from 9:30-10:00 AM, with the funeral service scheduled for 10:00 AM Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Collins Center Cemetery, 3415 Main Street (Rt. 39) for burial with Military Honors.
