About the Mission:
The family of Dennis M. Couhig has requested the Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his Military Honors funeral. Dennis passed 4 January 2025 at the age of 82 with his family at his side. Dennis entered the US Navy at the age of 17 on 17 September 1959 as Retail Service Specialist (RS) on the USS Newport News, Des Moines class Heavy Cruiser, for 3 yrs active sea duty service. Dennis was honorably discharged as 3rd Class Petty Officer on 2 May 1963 at Naval Reserve Manpower Center, Bainbridge, MD with reserve obligations ending 16 September 1965. After his military service, Dennis worked for Erie County Sheriff protecting his community until his retirement.
