About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Daniel J. Brown of Buffalo, NY, who passed away on 25 September 2022.

Mr. Brown served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1968-1972, with an MOS of 3261-Laundry Machine Operator. He had 12 months of foreign service in the Republic of Vietnam from January '70-January'71, and his final assignment was Headquarters & Service Battalion, 2nd FSR Force Troops, 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force Atlantic, Camp Lejeune, NC. Mr. Brown was discharged under honorable conditions on 12 July 1972 with the rank of Private, and he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and guests.  The funeral service is scheduled for 11:00 AM.  Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 for interment with military honors.  Click here for map
