About the Mission:

Mr. Gerald Gugino's caregiver has requested that PGR attend his graveside services on 2022.12.27.  Mr. Gugino has no family to attend these services.

Mr. Gugino served during the Vietnam Era and Cold War as US Navy Seaman (E-3). His specialty was BT-0000, Boiler Technician Fireman.  He served one year, nine months active duty 1969-1970. Of that time, he served one year and one month of sea duty aboard the USS Wallace L. Lind (DD-703), an Allen M. Sumner - class destroyer.  He earned: National Defense Service Medal and The Cold War Service Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Mr. Gugino will be interred in Section North 20, Plot 218.

PGR members will stage at the gravesite in preparation for the arrival of the cortege carrying Mr. Gugino.  We will form a flag line at approximately 12:45pm to salute the cortege as it arrives.  PGR members will perform a dignified transfer and then render honors with the military honor guard during graveside services.  Following services, we will render a final salute as a group.

Please come prepared with a clean, 3'x5', American or US Navy flag. Bring your own water, and dress for the weather. The current forecast is for cloudy with low 20 degree temperatures.

Thank you for devoting the time to honor Mr. Gugino's service and stand in place of family for his graveside services.  There are two missions on Tuesday, 2022.12.27, at Holy Sepulchre. Please put aside what time you can to honor one or both of these veterans.
