About the Mission:

On November 25, 26 & 29 2022, Patriot Guard Riders NY honored and celebrated the life of our hero, Terry James Garigen, who passed away unexpectedly on 20 November 2022. He was a decorated Vietnam War Army Combat Infantryman, beloved 50-year employee of the Darien Highway Department, Life Member of the Darien Volunteer Fire Department, dedicated PGRNY Region 1 Ride Captain, member of the Harder-O'Donnell American Legion Post 734 in Attica, local builder of structures, and highly-appreciated community neighbor.

With thanks to the efforts of NYS Assemblyman Steve Hawley & NYS Senator George Borrello, a portion of Route 77 (Alleghany Road) in the Town of Darien will be renamed "SGT Terry James Garigen Memorial Highway."
