About the Mission:
Mildred A. "Midge" Ellis passed away Monday, December 4, 2006 after a long illness.
After taking the oath of office for the US Army Nurse Corps on January 28, 1945, Second Lt. Ellis served at hospitals in Fort Dix NJ, Utica NY, Oahu Hawaii, and Sendai Japan through January 1946. She was one of the first nurses in Japan attached to the 8th Army. While in Sendai, Lt. Ellis also served as part of the XIV Corp, IX Corp and the 11th Airborne. Her certificate of service states "Honorably served in active Federal Service in the Army of the United States from 1 February 1945 to 20 March 1946." She received: Asiatic-Pacific Theatre Ribbon w/one Battle Star and the WWII Victory Medal.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Staging at Tops is intended for the use of their Parking lot only. This Tops is listed as Closed. After a briefing, kickstands up at 12:45 pm for a short ride to the location given by the Ride Captain where we will meet the family.
