Army National Guard

Honeoye Falls, NY - 06/11/2023

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 1, Region 2

About the Mission:

While conducting a training mission, America lost three brave soldiers. CW5 Steven Skoda, CW4 Christian Koch, and CW2 Daniel Prial lost their lives on January 20, 2021 in a helicopter crash in a field on West Bloomfield Road in Mendon, NY. These brave men belonged to the NY Army National Guard Unit Charlie Company, 1-171 General Support Aviation Battalion (GSAB).

Patriot Guard Riders had a significant involvement in the 29 January 2021 escort and funeral service for Town of York native CW4 Christian Koch, held at the National Warplane Museum in Geneseo, NY.

The Town of Mendon has constructed a Memorial site in honor of these 3 American Heroes. This Mission is for participation in the dedication ceremony.
