About the Mission:
Once again the Patriot Guard Riders has been invited to participate in a very special escort of Veterans from the Bath VA Medical Center to the Allegany County Veterans' Camp in Alma, NY.
PGR has participated in this escort in several years past, but COVID interupted the ability to continue since 2019. Please read the attached The Evening Tribune article regarding the 2019 special and well-received event. Click here to view related news article

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR and American Legion Riders will stage in preparation for the 50-mile ride to Bath VA, KSU at approx. 8:30 AM. PGR & ALR will meet the bus, with KSU at approx. 10:30 AM for the escort back to Allegany County and the Camp on Hunt Road in the Town of Alma, NY.
For those unable to do the escort to Bath, please consider staging at 11:00 AM at the new Quicklee's Belmont Travel Center on Route 19 (just south of I-86 Exit #30) to join in the escort to Alma. Please be prepared to quickly join in the escort. Click here for map to Travel Center
Acknowledging that these are very long escorts, past Missions have been very gratifying and rewarding as the public has come out in force to exhibit their appreciation for the Veterans.
It is imperative that your large flags are very securely attached for these long escorts at highway speed.
