About the Mission:
The family of William W. Glassmire has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his Mass of Christian Burial and interment with military honors. Mr. Glassmire passed on June 7, 2024 at 95 years of age in the care of Brothers of Mercy In Buffalo, NY.
Born on January 26, 1929 in Pottsville, PA, Mr. Glassmire entered the Army during the Korean Conflict at the age of 22 on October 30 ,1951. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division, "H" Company, 504th Infantry as a Mechanic stateside until October 29, 1953. He was honorably discharged at Fort Bragg, NC, and for his service, was awarded a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Parachutist Badge.

Members will form a flag line for arriving family and guests. After mass and a dignified transfer, members will escort our hero and family to Holy Cross Cemetery, Lackawanna, NY for interment with military honors. Bring fluids and take breaks when needed. Make sure your flags are secure.
