About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam Veteran William Geary, Sr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Geary passed on 6 January 2025 at the age of 79 with his family at his side.
Mr. Geary entered the Marine Corps on 12 January 1966 and served our nation for 4 years on active duty, with 16 months in Vietnam as a Radio Relay Operator. Corporal William Geary was honorably discharged on 2 February 1970, with reserve obligations ending 17 February 1972. For his service, Mr. Geary was awarded; Presidential Unit Citation, Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/ 4 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ 60 Device, Combat Action Ribbon and Marksman Badge ( M-14).
