About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Victor J. Cimicato of Hamburg, NY, who passed away on 1 March 2022.
Mr. Cimicato served our nation for 4 years on active duty in the US Air Force from 1963-1967, with an Air Force Specialty of 43151F-Aircraft Mechanic. He served 11 months in South Vietnam, and his final duty assignment was with the 604th Organizational Maintenance Squadron (Military Airlift Command) at Travis Air Force Base, California. Mr. Cimicato was honorably discharged from active duty on 9 November 1967 with the rank of Sergeant (E-4), and he earned the following awards: Air Force Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
NOTE: The family and funeral director may meet directly at the WNY National Cemetery....TBD.
PGR will stage in preparation to proceed together to the WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 2:00 PM burial ceremony with Military Honors.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USAF flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
