About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam Veteran Timothy Ferrara has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Ferrara passed 3 November 2024 at the Batavia VA Medical Center.
Born 5 August 1948 in Dansville, NY, Timothy entered the US Army on 15 September 1966. He served on active duty for 1 year and 11 months, including 6 month and 3 days in Vietnam as Field Wireman. Mr. Ferrara was honorably discharged 4 September 1968 and completed his reserve obligations on 14 September 1972. For his service to our nation, Mr. Ferrara was awarded; Army Commendation Medal, Meritorious Unit Citation with 2 Oak Leaf Clusters, National Defense service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 Device.
Following his military career, he became a plumber/ steam fitter for the U of R in Rochester, NY, where eventually he would retire.
