About the Mission: | The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Thomas C. Meacham of Farmersville, NY, who passed away on 8 March 2022. Mr. Meacham served our nation for 14 months on active duty in the US Army Infantry from 1969-1970, with an MOS of 11B20-Light Weapons Infantry. His Army service was cut short due to severe injuries suffered in combat action against the enemy in Vietnam while assigned to Able Company, 4th Battalion, 23rd Mechanized Regiment, 25th Infantry Division. Mr. Meacham was honorably discharged from active duty on 11 March 1970 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the following awards: Purple Heart Medal; Combat Infantryman Badge; Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and several Weapons Qualification Badges. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters. |
Special Information: | PGR will stage in preparation to provide an escort of the family to the Farmersville Cemetery, 9081 NY Rt. 98, Franklinville, NY 14737 for interment with military honors. Click here for map Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather. Mr. Meacham suffered for his entire life because he served our nation.
