About the Mission:
The family of Theodore M. Malota, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Malota passed on 5 May 2024 at the age of 76, with family at his side.
Born in Buffalo, NY, 25 September 1947, Mr. Malota served our nation honorably in the US Marine Corps from 30 July 1965, to 1 May 1969. He served as an Aircraft Mechanic and completed a 1 year and 27day tour of duty in Vietnam with the Marine Corps Fighter Squadron. For his service, Mr. Malota was awarded Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal (2 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Meritorious Mast, Vietnam Service Medal w/2 stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device.
Mr. Malota worked as a diesel mechanic for the South Buffalo Railway in Lackawanna, NY, retiring in 2004, and was a big supporter of John R. Oishei Children's Hospital in Buffalo.

Members will stand flag line for arriving family and guests. After a dignified transfer, members will escort our hero and family to Hillcrest Cemetery, 5223 Abbott Rd., Hamburg, NY 14075, for interment with military honors. Make sure you bring water and be safe on the highway.
