About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War veteran Terrence M. "Terry" Archbold has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Archbold of Friendship, NY passed away on 2 September 2024.

Mr. Archbold served our nation for almost 3 years on active duty in the US Army Transportation Corps from 1969-1971, with an Army MOS of 64B20-Heavy Vehicle Driver. He had 15 months of foreign service, including deployment to Vietnam from January-December 1970. Mr. Archbold was honorably discharged from active duty on 30 November 1971 with the rank of Private First Class (E-3), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; Army Occupation Medal (Berlin); Vietnam Campaign Medal; 2 Overseas Service Bars; and Marksman Qualification Badges for M-14 & M-16 Rifles.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and funeral director. KSU at 9:45 for the 50-mile escort (via I-86) to Bath National Cemetery (BNC) for the 11:00 AM interment ceremony and military honors.

If you are unable to participate in the escort, please consider staging at the Bath National Cemetery upper flagpole and await the arrival of the cortege. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and ensure your large flags are very securely attached for the long escort at highway speeds.
