About the Mission:

Sergeant First Class (E7) Susan Elizabeth Phillips served in the US Army for 20 years.  For her service, she was awarded the following medals / ribbons:  Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal (8 awards), Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Reserve Components Achievement Medal (3 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Reserve Medal (3 awards), Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, Army Service Ribbon and Marksman Rifle Marksmanship Badge.

Sue joined the Elks Lodge 24 in 2009, and was a member in good standing for 16 years. She worked tirelessly to benefit the lodge, serving as Kitchen and Banquet Manager for several years and chairing the Veterans Program, getting her whole family to join in and support events. Sue sponsored many raffles and chicken barbecues to raise money for the lodge, tended bar, and chaired the annual Music Fest to benefit Honor Flight Rochester.

Special Information:

Patriot Guard Riders will stand a flag line on Friday from 4 pm to 7pm only.  For those who might like to attend, interment with military honors will take place at 1:00 pm on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd., Corfu NY, 14036.
