About the Mission:

The family of Marjorie Theresa Rinke has requested PGR to participate in honoring her service to America and celebrating her life. Ms. Rinke passed away August 18, 2023 at the age of 94.

Ms. Rinke served in the US Army, attaining the rank of Sergeant First Class (SFC) with an MOS of: 76Y4H, Army Unit Supply Specialist. SFC Rinke's 23 year career spanned the Vietnam War and included Cold War service. She was Honorably retired 31 January 1978.

SFC Rinke earned: Bronze Star Medal ~ US Army Commendation Medal ~ Meritorious Unit Commendation ~ US Army Good Conduct Medal w/ One Silver & One Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster (7 awards) ~ National Defense Service Medal ~ Vietnam Service Medal w/ One Silver Campaign Star (5 campaigns) ~ Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal ~ Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/ Palm Device ~ Four Overseas Bars ~ Sharpshooter Qualification Badge (M-1, M-14, M-16).

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR members will form a flag line for the arrival of the family (expected 10:30am), and hold the flag line until services begin at 11:00am.  Following services, PGR members will perform a dignified transfer and escort the cortege to:

At the cemetery PGR Members will participate in graveside services including military honors, and render a final salute as a group.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.  Thank you for taking time to honor the US Army Vietnam War and Cold War service of Sergeant First Class Marjorie Theresa Rinke, and to support her loving family.
