About the Mission:
The family of Ronald M. Hartman of Lackawanna, NY has requested PGRNY participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Hartman passed away on 3 August 2022.
Mr. Hartman served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers from 1966-1968, with an Army MOS of 71H20-Personnel Specialist. He had 2-1/2 years of foreign service, assigned to the 503rd Engineer Company, 7th Engineer Brigade, US Army Europe in Germany. Mr. Hartman was honorably discharged from active duty on 18 December 1968 with the rank of Specialist 5th Class (E-5). He earned the Army Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, M-14 Rifle Expert Badge, and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family. Prayers are scheduled for 9:45 AM, followed by the escort to Our Lady of Victory Basilica Church, 767 Ridge Road, Lackawanna, NY, 14218, for the Mass of Christian Burial.
Following the Mass and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Holy Cross Cemetery, 861-929 Fr. Baker Blvd, Lackawanna, NY 14218 for interment with military honors.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or U.S. Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
