About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Ronald J. Pilozzi of the City of Tonawanda, NY, who passed away on 4 June 2022.
Mr. Pilozzi graduated from ROTC in July 1969 and received his commission as a 2nd Lieutenant. He went on to serve as an Artillery Officer in the Republic of Vietnam. Mr. Pilozzi served with 2 units: 2nd Battalion, 320th Field Artillery Regiment, 101st Airborne Division; and Company A, 1st Battalion, 501st Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne Division. He was honorably discharged from active duty on 20 August 1972 with the rank of Captain (O-3), and earned the following awards: Bronze Star Medal w/"V" Device; Purple Heart Medal; Air Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; and Cold War Service Medal.
Mr. Pilozzi went on to serve in public service with the City of Tonawanda, including as it's Mayor. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion Post #264, AMVETS Post #1946, and a Life member of the Disabled American Veterans and Life member of Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter #77.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will stand by with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family. KSU at 9:35 AM for the escort to WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 10:00 AM Interment Ceremony and Military Honors. Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
