About the Mission:
An American Hero has passed, and his family has requested the participation of Patriot Guard Riders in rendering honors and escorting Roland C Brown to his final resting place at Bath National Cemetery.
Technical Sergeant Roland C Brown is a true American Hero. He proudly served our country from July 1950 to October 1972. He was a decorated US Air Force veteran, having served in England, Spain and Vietnam, The following awards and decorations were awarded : the Bronze Star Medal, National Defense Medal with Service Star, Air Force Longevity Service with 4 Bronze Oak leaf Clusters, Small Arms Expert Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 2 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal and Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with V device. In Addition, Sergeant continued to serve our country for several decades with the Steuben County Sheriff Department, retiring as a Sergeant.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
We will be escorting along with the Steuben County Sheriffs Department and Bath Village Police. Escort to proceed past Sergeant Brown's home on our way to Bath National Cemetery.
