About the Mission:
The family of Robert P. Elkins has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Robert passed on 25 December 2024 at the age of 78 with his family at his side.
Born 24 July 1946 in Buffalo, NY, Robert entered the US Navy at 17 years old and served our nation 4 years and 9 months as a Boatswain's Mate, with 1yr. in Navy reserves. He was honorably discharged at US Naval Reserves Manpower Center, Bainbridge, MD on 9 October 1969. After his military service, Robert became a reverend and served his community in Western NY. When Western New York National Cemetery opened, Rev. Elkins was the first minister for the cemetery honoring veterans with grace and dignity.

Special Information:
Members will stand a flag line for arriving family and friends. After a dignified transfer, PGR will process to Western New York National Cemetery for 2:00 pm military honors service. The weather is calling for a little snow. Dress for the weather and make sure your flags are secure for the 3 mile escort. Thank you for standing for Rev. Elkins.
