About the Mission:
The family of Robert A. Trescott of Livonia, NY has requested PGRNY to participate in honoring his life and service. Mr. Trescott passed away on 30 August 2022 at the age of 95.
Mr. Trescott served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army Quartermaster Corps from 1950-1953, and was assigned to the 601st Quartermaster Aerial Delivery Company at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He completed training in Basic Airborne at the Infantry School, and Parachute Maintenance/Packing/Delivery at the Quartermaster School. Mr. Trescott was honorably discharged from active duty at Fort Campbell on 30 July 1953 with the rank of Corporal (E-4), and he earned the Army Parachute Badge and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGRNY will stage at the funeral home in preparation to provide an escort (approx. 12 miles) to Scottsburg Union Cemetery, 7100 Route 256, Conesus, NY for the 10:00 AM burial with Military Honors. (Route 256 is also West Swamp Road, cemetery is south of Guiltner Road). Click here for map Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
