About the Mission:

The family of Cold War veteran Richard Nowakowski has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and military service. Mr. Nowakowski of Conesus, NY passed away on 26 June 2024.

Mr. Nowakowski served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1957-1960, with an Army MOS of 981.1646-Cryptanalytic Specialist. He received training in Korean Language at the US Army Language School at the Presidio of Monterey Army Garrison, CA. Mr. Nowakowski also served with the National Security Agency at Fort George G. Meade, MD where he received his honorable discharge from active duty on 26 February 1960 with the rank of Specialist Five (E-5.) Mr. Nowakowski earned the Army Good Conduct Medal and Cold War Service Commemorative Medal.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of Mr. Nowakowski and his family and friends. The funeral mass is scheduled for 10:30 AM. Following mass and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Michael's Cemetery, 4324 Shelly Road, Livonia, NY 14487 for the burial with military honors.
