About the Mission:
The family of Richard M. Wisniewski of Cheektowaga, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Wisniewski passed away on 6 February 2023.
Mr. Wisniewski served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Artillery Branch from 1963-1965, with an Army MOS of 163.10-Field Artillery Missile Crewman. He had 10 months of foreign service in West Germany, assigned to the 4th Missile Battalion, 41st Artillery Regiment, 56th Artillery Group. Mr. Wisniewski was honorably discharged from active duty on 2 February 1965, and he earned the following awards: Army Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Cold War Service Medal; Army M-14 Rifle Marksman Qualification Badge; and Army Driver & Mechanic Badge.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and guests. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 12:00 PM. Following Mass and the dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Adalbert Cemetery, 6200 Broadway (Rt. 20), Lancaster, NY 14086 for interment with Military Honors.
