About the Mission:

The family of Richard J. Switzer has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation at his funeral Services.  Richard, 73, passed on Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Richard served with the United States Army, entering on July 9, 1968.  He served a tour of duty in Vietnam where he was wounded.  He was honorably discharged on September 15, 1968 at the rank of Specialist 4th Class, and for his service was awarded the Purple Heart, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Members will stand a flag line during visitation hours of 11:00 am - 2:00 pm.  Military honors will follow at 2:00 pm.
