About the Mission:
The family of Vietnam War Era veteran Richard C. Drueschler has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Drueschler of East Aurora, NY passed away on 28 October 2023 at the age of 73.
Mr. Drueschler served our nation for 4 years on active duty in the U.S. Navy from 1968-1972, with a Naval rating of Construction Mechanic Gasoline Engine (CMG.) He served 2 years, 9 months of sea service aboard the USS Moale (DD-693), an Allen M. Sumner-class destroyer of the United States Navy. Mr. Drueschler was honorably discharged from active duty on 22 September 1972 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal.

Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will stand by with a respectful flag line for the arrival of the funeral director and family. KSU at 12:30 PM for the escort to the WNY National Cemetery for the 1:00 PM Committal with Military Honors.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or U.S. Navy flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the U.S. Navy service of Richard C. Drueschler, and to support his loving family.
