About the Mission:
The family of Cold War and Vietnam War Era veteran Raymond G. Munger has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in honoring his life and service to our nation. Mr. Munger of Honeoye/Avon, NY and Homosassa, FL passed away on 7 February 2025 at the age of 80.
Mr. Munger served our nation for almost 4 years on active duty in the US Air Force from 1965-1969, with an Air Force Specialty of 27150-Operations Specialist, and his service included 2 years of foreign duty (location TBD.) Mr. Munger received his honorable discharge from active duty on 20 May 1969 at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. He achieved the rank of Staff Sergeant (E-5), and he earned the following awards: Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; National Defense Service Medal; Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon; and Cold War Service Commemorative Medal.

There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission. PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and friends. A Memorial Service is scheduled to begin at 4:00 PM, followed by military honors at 4:30 PM. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Air Force flag, and dress for the weather.
