About the Mission:
The family of Randall E. Heller has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Heller of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on 16 May 2023.
Mr. Heller served a short time in the US Army in 1974, before receiving an honorable medical discharge on 5 October 1974. Later on in life he became a member of the American Legion Fredrick F Cadille Post No 1664 in Niagara Falls where he moved up the ranks and eventually served as Commander from 2007-2010. After his service as Commander he transfered to the American Legion John J Welch Post 381 in Niagara Falls, where he continued his service and went on to be 1st Vice Commander. During his services at both American Legions he joined Patriot Guard Riders until his health stopped him from going on missions. However he never stopped his love for veterans or PGR. He would always wear the vest and tell everyone how proud he was to be a member while thanking every veteran he passed along the way.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will be prepared with a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family, expected at approx. 10:15 AM. It is expected that some family members will ride with us. KSU at 10:35 AM for the escort to the WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Rd, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 11:00 AM Interment Ceremony and Military Honors.
Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
