About the Mission:
The family of Peter J. Quinn of West Seneca, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Quinn passed away on 28 April 2023.
Mr. Quinn served our nation for almost 4 years in the U.S. Coast Guard from 1989-1993, with a Coast Guard rating of Machinery Technician (MK.) He had a total of 2-1/2 years of sea service, including his last assignment aboard the Coast Guard Cutter Polar Star (WAGB-10.) Mr. Quinn was honorably discharged from active duty on 3 March 1993 with the rank of Petty Officer 3rd Class (E-4), and he earned the following awards: Coast Guard Bicentennial Unit Commendation; National Defense Service Medal; Coast Guard "E" Ribbon; Humanitarian Service Medal; Coast Guard Arctic Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star (2 Awards); Antartica Service Medal; Coast Guard Sea Service Ribbon.
Mr. Quinn went on to serve an honorable career with the Buffalo Fire Department.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
PGR will provide a respectful flag line during the 2nd half of calling hours from 2:30-4:30 PM. The funeral service and Military Honors is scheduled for 4:30 PM.
There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Coast Guard flag, and dress for the weather. Please consider devoting some time to help honor the USCG and career Buffalo Fire Department service of Peter G. Quinn, and to support his loving family.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have four (4) funeral Missions on Saturday in Region-1. Please do your best to support at least one of them.
