About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Norman G. Traugott of Conesus, NY, who passed away on 25 June 2022.
Mr. Traugott served our nation for 2-1/2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1969-1972, with an Army MOS of 76Y30-Armorer/Unit Supply Specialist. His service included 10-1/2 months of foreign duty in the Republic of Vietnam from March 1970-January 1971. His final duty station was Company D, 14th Military Intelligence Detachment at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, where he was honorably discharged from active duty on 2 April 1972 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4.)
Mr. Traugott earned the following awards: Army Commendation Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Service Medal; Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal; 1 Overseas Service Bar; M-14 Rifle Expert Qualification Badge; and M-16 Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.
Mr. Traugott was a past member and driver for the Geneseo Fire Department Ambulance Corps.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission. PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of family and friends. A Celebration of Life is scheduled from 12:30-4:30 PM.
A short service and Military Honors is scheduled for 1:00 PM, after which the official Mission ends. Members will be welcome to stay for refreshments at the Legion.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
