About the Mission:

The family of US Army Retired Master Sergeant Joseph T. Mancuso of Tonawanda, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Mancuso - affectionally known as "Moose" - passed away on 8 June 2023. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era, Cold War and Gulf War.

Full military service details are pending, but we know that Mr. Mancuso served a total of 37 years in the US Army and Army Reserve from 1962-1999. His duty assignments included Headquarters & Headquarters Company, 2nd Brigade (Engineer OSUT), 98th Infantry Division (Training.) Among MSG Mancuso's awards were the Meritorious Service Medal and National Defense Service Medal w/1Service Star (2 Awards.) MSG Mancuso was honorably retired effective 22 August 1999.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 9:00 AM. Following the Mass and dignified transfer, PGR will escort to Forest Lawn Cemetery for entombment with Military Honors.

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
We have a very busy schedule in the Region this week. Please do your best to support these Missions, including this one for US Army Retired Master Sergeant Joseph T. Mancuso, and to support his proud and loving family.
