About the Mission:
The family of US Marine Corps Veteran Michael J. Carter has requested Patriot Guard Riders' participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Carter passed on 17 September 2025, surrounded by his family.
Mr. Carter entered the Marine Corps on 19 July 1979, and trained as a Supply Administration and Operations Clerk ( MC-3043). He served his nation for 3 years and 4 months on active duty, including 12 months of foreign/sea service.He was honorably discharged on 6 December 1982 as Corporal (E-4), at 1st Supply Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California. For his service Mr. Carter was awarded; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal, Meritorious Mast, Letter of Appreciation, Foreign/Sea Service Deployment Ribbon and a Rifle Marksman Badge.
After his military service, Mr. Carter worked and retired from Erie County Medical Center, in Buffalo, NY.

The family has requested Patriot Guard Riders to escort the family and Mr. Carter from Tops Market at Rt.77 and 31, to Western New York National Cemetery for 10am honors. KSU at 9am. Make sure your large flags are clean and secure. The escort is about 25 miles on country roads. Do what you can to support this loving family.
