About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders has been requested to participate in honoring the life and service of Michael E. Milligan of Hamburg, NY who passed away on 10 October 2022.

Mr. Milligan served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1968-1970, with an Army MOS of 52B20-Power Plant Operations Mechanic. He had 18 months of foreign service in Germany, assigned to the 1st Maintenance Battalion, 3rd Support Brigade, Seventh Army Support Command, US Army Europe. Mr. Milligan was honorably discharged from active duty on 8 May 1970 with the rank of Specialist 4th Class (E-4), and he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Cold War Service Medal, and Army Rifle Sharpshooter Badge.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family.  The prayer service is scheduled for 9:00 AM.  Following the dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. John Paul II Catholic Parish, 2052 Lakeview Rd, Lake View, NY 14085 for the 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial.  Click here for map to church  Following the dignified transfer, PGR will escort to St. Vincent de Paul Cemetery, 2133 Shadagee Road, Eden, NY 14057 for interment with Military Honors.  Click here for map to cemetery

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
