About the Mission:

The family of Louis Scafetta has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his Celebration of Life and Military Honors. Mr. Scafetta passed on July 3, 2024, at the age of 72 with family at his side. He was born in Batavia, NY on Oct. 25, 1951. At the age of 19, Mr. Scafetta entered the Army assigned to Ft. Belvoir Virginia as a Gas Turbine Generator Repairman (52D20). He served our Nation from Dec. 3, 1970 to Nov. 22, 1972 and earned the National Defense Service Medal and Marksman Badge (M-16). After his service Mr. Scafetta worked at Batavia VA Maintenance Dept. for 25 yrs and was a life member at Post #575 American Legion in Bergen, N.Y.
