About the Mission:

The family of Louis Kinney has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Kinney of Brocton, NY passed away on 28 October 2023.

Mr. Kinney served our nation for over 3 years on active duty in the US Air Force from 1965-1968, with an Air Force Specialty of 46250-Weapons Technician. He served 18 months of foreign service at Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, assigned to the 3rd Munitions Maintenance Squadron, Strategic Air Command. Mr. Kinney received his honorable discharge from active duty on 20 October 1968 with the rank of Sergeant (E-4), and he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and Air Force Good Conduct Medal.

Mr. Kinney served as a fire fighter and fire policeman for 35 years with the Brocton, NY Fire Department, and he was a member of the Brocton American Legion Post #434.

An obituary will be available on Tuesday.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, and during the calling hours from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. Following the dignified transfer, PGR and the American Legion Riders will provide an escort to Webster Road Cemetery, 4698 Webster Road, Fredonia, NY 14063 for burial with Military Honors.

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Air Force flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the US Air Force and fire department service of Louis Kinney, and to support his loving family.
